Sorry to hear that but it's true, this place is a lot quieter now than it used to be.

But Jan 2014 is a long way off and if the Mayans were right we don't need to think that far ahead.

I beg to differ.....

Quote
The calendar used by the ancient Maya civilisation does not predict the end of the world in December 2012 as some believe, according to experts.

A new reading of a Maya tablet mentioning the 2012 date suggests that it refers to the end of an era in the calendar, and not an apocalypse.

It must be right, its on the BBC  whisper

The way things are going, though, we might just make that prediction come true.

The largest cycle is 26000 years. The cycle ends on Dec something 2012. After that...no more calendar. Thus provides a brief synopsis of the situation.

When your calendar runs out does time end? No, you just buy the next year's calendar.

It's difficult to have conversations, now. Seems, to me, that some people are too easy to offend.

So, I don't even try, now, sadly.

Hi clive, good to see you are still around. As for closing, it's just a thought at the moment.

Nuffin', mate. Smiley

I really have cut back on forum stuff, of late, though.

People get offended by such trivial things, nowadays.

Mayan calender? Load of crap!
They did not take leap years in to account and therefore according to them the world should have ended ages ago.

Actually, a lot's been made of the Mayan calendar, about this.

But, it's not just that. There's quite a bit of other stuff that's pointing to it, too.
